Eagle Robotics strives to involve students to be in engineering and science fields, as well as marketing and business relations. We are currently participating in the nation wide competition known as USFIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology). The task given to the team is to engineer, build, program, and test a 4-5ft 120lb robot that will carry out certain tasks, all in 6 weeks. The students learn hands on about everything in the engineering presses as well as electrical, machining, and fabrication skills.
On top of technical skills, students are challenged by real world tasks. Students learn how to work under pressure and meet deadlines, as well as leadership skills and working as a team. Marketing skills are enforced as the team must raise $30,000 a year in order to compete in FIRST.
